WALK THE MOON presents to you, without further ado, NEW MUSIC!!!
NEXT TUESDAY -FEB 7th- RCA Records will release the ANNA SUN EP with THREE (3, tres, triangle) new tracks from our upcoming album!
::band members do a bird dance::
Featuring a new recording of “Anna Sun”, as well as totally unheard-before traxx “Next In Line” and “Tightrope”, the EP will be available on iTunes and as real-deal hard copies at our shows this Spring. On the road with Young The Giant and then Kaiser Chiefs, we’ll be seeing you all over the US & Canada. As always you can find tour dates & tickets at walkthemoonband.com.
Concurrently, we are absolutely foaming at the mouth in anticipation of the FULL-LENGTH ALBUM, which we expect to release in May. We hope that this record, produced by Ben Allen & mixed by Mark Needham, will sound to you like wild robot rhinos setting off roman candles with the cast of Point Break in a forest made of drums. Also, rock ‘n’ roll.
So, Happy New Year! And thank you. It’s been a long adventure with you that has led us all the way here, and what’s here is really just this big fat diving board. Keep sticking with us and we’ll stick with you. Jump when we jump, and we’ll swim and swim til our arms become fins and we’re all fishes together in a big sexy ocean.

Walk the Moon - Vevo interview from CMJ
These four Ohio boys have been getting a fair amount of press lately. Part of the lineup at both Lollapallooza and Bonnaroo this year, their song “Anna Sun” was named Esquire magazine’s Song of the Summer; the band got some additional love from Nylon magazine when they were officially dubbed crush-worthy earlier this year.
To the great joy of everyone in Cincinnati who was a part of the video shoot for ‘Anna Sun’ (disclaimer: this includes me), they’ve gathered quite a following, been signed to RCA Records, and we now actually have to pay for tickets to go see them.
TODAY, they’ play at 3:15 p.m. at Drivein24 Studios, 443 W. 18th Street. Find them TONIGHT at 11 p.m. at the Santos Party House, 96 Lafayette Street. (oh yes,Andrew W.K.’s very own).
Download their entire album on Bandcamp for just nine dollars. But they’re better live, so go see them too.
